CENTRAL PARK — Oprah-mania swept Central Park this morning as fans lined up for a peek at the queen of daytime TV during a rare show taping in New York City.

"I love you, New York!" Oprah gushed to a packed Rumsey Playfield audience.

Among the guests featured on today's show are Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, along with actor Hugh Jackman and Broadway co-star Daniel Craig.

Musical guest Mariah Carey was also on hand to perform a song from her new album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel."

Carey, who brought along husband Nick Cannon, sat down with Oprah to discuss her role as a high school socialworker in the upcoming film, "Precious."

Winfrey co-produced the gritty coming-of-age movie about the struggles of an urban teenage girl, based on the novel "Push" by author Sapphire. The film garnered critical acclaim at Sundance and the Toronto Film Festival.

Fans were thrilled by the local appearance, a rare trip for the Chicago-based Oprah.

"It was amazing," said 25 year-old audience member Rhea Quindor. "Hugh Jackman, like, walked down the aisle right next to ours!"

When asked why she came out to the filming this morning, 24-year-old Columbia University nursing student Samantha Rose replied, "It's Oprah! What kind of a question is that?"

Other New Yorkers were less starstruck.

"Being a New Yorker, [celebrities are] always here. We have everybody, you know?" said Miriam Tabb, 43, who took her mother to the taping.

"Oprah's just another person — But we love her anyway."
