BRONX — A man was fatally struck riding his bicycle in Bronxwood just blocks from his home Wednesday evening, authorities said.

David Oliveras, 18, was riding southbound on the sidewalk of Williamsbridge Road near Waring Avenue shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday when he attempted to cross to the other side of the street, police said.

That’s when a white BMW SUV driving northbound on the street collided with Oliveras, cops said.

He was rushed to Jacobi Hospital and pronounced dead, police said.

There is no criminality suspected in the incident and an investigation is ongoing, police added.
