MANHATTAN — An tractor-trailer near the Lincoln Tunnel created delays during the morning commute Wednesday, authorities said.

The tractor-trailer overturned just outside the busy tunnel’s exit in New Jersey about 5:15 a.m., closing lanes of traffic and causing up to 45-minute delays for drivers, a Port Authority spokeswoman said.

All traffic lanes had reopened as of 8 a.m., the spokeswoman added.

Manhattan-bound traffic had to be diverted to the Holland Tunnel and Geroge Washington Bridge while the accident wads cleared.

New York City-bound New Jersey Transit trains were also experiencing delays between Newark and Manhattan, according to NJ Transit.
