LINCOLN CENTER — The NYPD is looking its finest for Fashion Week.

Police officers stationed outside Lincoln Center and around the tents are particularly good looking this season, gushed show attendees. The abundance of well primped cops has led many to believe the department has adopted a policy of assigning stylish officers to strut their stuff at the event.

“Hell to the yes. Definitely,” said fashion photographer James Tawfik, 20, when asked if he believed the fashion police at Lincoln Center were above-average looking.

“I would say there are some seriously good looking police officers, especially around Lincoln Center.”

The only other place Tawfik said he had seen such a high density of attractive officers was at tourist-heavy Times Square.

“They are all toned, all proportional,” Tawfik said of the handsome squad outside the tents.

A group of officers from the Upper West Side's 20th Precinct happily posed for DNAinfo.com on Tuesday. Soon, other shutterbugs from the fashion beat were turning their lenses on the men and women in blue.

The police photographed by DNAinfo included Officer Leonardo, showing off good bone structure; Officer Ferrara, the fresh-faced girl-next-door; brown-eyed Officer Jones, with well-defined arms; Officer Mata, sporting a winning smile; Officer Toumanidis, who bears a resemblance to baseball star Derek Jeter; and Officer Noto, who was the most camera-shy of the group.

“They (the NYPD) do this every year,” said one veteran fashion photographer, who did not give his name as he grabbed a few shots of the group. “They put the good-looking ones near the front of the tent.”

For Marie-Leigh Toure, a 22-year-old fashion stylist for F514, one officer stood out as exceptionally stunning.

“She was wearing Ray-Ban-style glasses, her hair was in a top knot. She was fresh-faced,” Toure said. “I remember when she walked passed. I was like, 'Wow.'

“It's Fashion Week. They (the police officers) should get into it,” she added.

The NYPD was not immediately available for comment on whether it had a policy of assigning better-looking officers to Fashion Week.
