MANHATTAN - A fire tore through the basement of an Upper West Side building Saturday afternoon, officials said.
The blaze at 777 West End Avenue, near West 98th Street, broke out at 4:23 p.m., according to the FDNY.
Residents said that they thought the fire trucks were part of a movie that has been filiming on the block.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or people being trapped.
