UPPER MANHATTAN - Three men are being sought for a harrowing series of apparently unrelated sex attacks that occurred within hours of each other this weekend in Upper Manhattan, police said.
In a horrifying twist, the latest attack, early Sunday morning, took place just a block from the 34th Precinct stationhouse.
In that case, approached a 32-year-old woman at 184th Street and Broadway and tried to rip her clothes off.
But the victim bravely was able to fight off her attacker, who fled towards the A train. She then called 911.
Police do not believe the man was armed.
On Saturday, at around 2:15 a.m., a 37-year-old woman was attacked at knifepoint at her Washington Heights home.
When she got to the fifth floor, she was confronted by the suspect -described as a Hispanic man, 20-25, around 5-foot-5, with short dark hair - who whipped out a knife, according to cops.
The suspect then forced her to the eighth floor of the building where he sexually assaulted and robbed her, taking jewelry, cash, a cell phone and her keys.
He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt an black sweatpants.
The victim was treated and released from a local hospital.
It is not clear how he got into the building.
The second incident came just hours earlier in Inwood.
In that case, first reported by DNAinfo, a 28-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Inwood Hill Park Friday night.
The vicitm was walking near the ballfields on Dyckman Street and the Henry Hudson Parkway when she was approached by a man in his 30s who struck up a conversation.
He then forced her into a secluded area, sexually assaulted her and fled on a red mountain bike.
The victim was treated and released from the hospital.
The suspect in that attack was wearing no shirt, had something blue around his neck and was wearing khaki shorts.
Police said he is Hispanic, 30-35, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9, and around 180 pounds.
On Sunday, community members handed out flyers warning the public about the attacks on Dyckman Street.
This is just the latest in a series of attacks in the park.
Last August, a female jogger was grabbed from behind and sexually assaulted.
And in February 2010, a woman exercising in the park was dragged into the woods and attacked.
