INWOOD — Police released a sketch Tuesday of a man they say sexually assaulting a female jogger in Inwood Hill Park last week.
The woman was attacked on Tuesday, Aug. 31, when she was grabbed from behind and touched in an "inappropriate sexual manner," 34th Precinct Captain Jose Navarro said during a Community Board 12 meeting last Wednesday.
A poster with the sketch described the attacker as a Hispanic man between 25 to 35 years old and approximately 5-foot-8 with a medium build, light complexion and shoulder-length dark brown wavy hair that was pulled into a ponytail.
He was wearing green shorts, a white tank top and gray sneakers, police said.
The attack comes on the heels of another sexual assault in Inwood Hill Park earlier this year, when a woman reported she was grabbed from behind and sexually assaulted while she was exercising.
