MANHATTAN — It looks like former JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater won't get his old job back as long as the company's CEO has anything to say about it.
JetBlue CEO Dave Barger said Slater “is not a hero in my book,” the Daily News reported Tuesday.
Slater garnered instant celebrity status after an Aug. 9 flight to JFK when he cursed out passengers, grabbed two beers and escaped via the plane's emergency chute.
Barger told TheStreet.com that Slater’s actions delayed the next flight and cost the company more than $25,000.
Slater is suspended while JetBlue investigates the alleged meltdown. He is also being charged three felonies, including criminal mischief and reckless endangerment.
