School leaders are discussing moving P.S. 191 to a new building and P.S. 452 into 191's old building.

With a shorter waitlist at P.S. 199, the urgency of the rezoning has lessened, officials said.

The developer has delayed finishing the school's exterior, making a 2017 opening very unlikely.

The DOE is open and supportive of the plan to move P.S. 191 into the P.S. 342 building, officials said.

Under a new proposed zoning plan, P.S. 191 would serve pre-K-2 and P.S. 342 would serve grades 3-8.

A committee is considering changes to District 3's boundaries for easier admission to local schools. 

The new Riverside Center school will have two grades each and serve K-8 grades, the DOE said. 

Collegiate School will pay the city to construct the units as part of its plan to build a new school.

The Collegiate School is not legally obligated to provide the 55 units locals expected in the project.
