Ruben Diaz Jr. did not reappoint a CB1 member who had loudly opposed FreshDirect's planned Bronx move.
The company will partner with local leaders to hire residents of The Bronx, its future home, it said.
The online grocer hired the award-winning eco-activist as a consultant to engage local groups.
