Originally from Córdoba Argentina, bassist Pedro Giraudo moved to New York City in 1996. Since then he has performed both with his own Pedro Giraudo Jazz Orchestra and as a member of ensembles, including collaborations with Grammy award winners Pablo Ziegler and Paquito D’Rivera.

His music combines Argentine tango and folk music with jazz improvisation.

The Pedro Giraudo Sextet plays live at Terraza 7, 40-19 Gleane St. in Elmhurst, on Jan. 24 at 9:30 p.m. Admission is free, but there is a $5 cover charge for upstairs mezzanine seating.
