An age-old Italian and Italian-American tradition, the Ferragosto festival celebrates the end of the harvest season and the enjoyment of its fruits. This year's Ferragosto festival also celebrates the 100th anniversary of Arthur Avenue. Events will take place from noon to 7 p.m. on Arthur Avenue between Crescent and 187th streets. A schedule of events, including information on special guests, is available here. Entry to the festival is free and appropriate for all ages.
