The Apollo Theater will launch a new educational program called the Live Wire Discussion Series at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 7.

The program will expand on the Apollo Theater's role in shaping American culture. Duke University Professor of Black Popular Culture, Mark Anthony Neal, will kick off the series with a discussion titled "Black Men/Soul Music."

The event is free and open to the public. RSVP required at www.apolloeducation.org.
