Jackson Chen is a reporter/producer covering the Upper West Side and Morningside Heights.

Prior to joining DNAinfo New York, Jackson worked as a reporter for The Manhattan Express, covering Midtown, the Upper East Side and the Upper West Side for nearly two years. Previously, he was a staff writer for The Mamaroneck Review and The Rye City Review, in Westchester County.

Jackson studied journalism at Purchase College, SUNY, where he founded the school's online news outlet, The Purchase Phoenix. He has lived in Bensonhurst his whole life.

FUN FACT: Jackson has been skateboarding for more than 10 years, and all he has to show for it is a swollen ankle that can click at will.
