PARK SLOPE — Police are searching for a man and woman who tried to kidnap a 15-year-old girl from a Park Slope street as she walked to a bus stop, the NYPD said.

The teen was headed home along 19th Street, between Seventh and Eighth avenues, on Sept. 22 at 2:40 p.m., when a vehicle pulled up alongside her, police said.

The man and woman in the car struck up a conversation with the girl before the driver got out of a gray BMW SUV, grabbed the teen's arm and tried to drag her into the vehicle, police said.

The girl managed to break free and bolt from her attackers.

Police described the woman in her 30s, standing approximately 5-foot-4 and weighing 140 pounds with short, dark hair. She also has a tattoo of a bow on her back.

The man was described as between 35 and 45 years old, standing roughly 5-foot-7 and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds. The victim described the man as having a "heavy accent," but police were unable to share what type, according to an NYPD spokesman.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).

Correction: Police initially described the vehicle as a dark colored Jeep Cherokee SUV, but updated that description to a gray BMW SUV after releasing new video footage.
