CROWN HEIGHTS — A 28-year-old man shot in Bedford-Stuyvesant was arrested at Kings County Hospital this week when police found he was carrying a loaded gun and marijuana as he was treated at the medical facility.

Jimi Metcalf, 28, was shot in the left arm on Halsey Street near Throop Avenue just after 6 p.m. on July 23, police said. Directly after the shootout, he flagged down a police car for help and officers called for an ambulance, which took him to KCH.

At the hospital, Metcalf was found to be carrying a loaded .22 Cobra handgun in his shorts pocket, court documents say.

He has been charged with multiple weapons charges and a violation for possession of marijuana. His legal representative could not be reached for comment.

No arrest has been made in the Halsey Street shooting, police said.
