VIDEO: Suspect Spotted Drawing 20 Swastikas in Fresh Concrete in Midwood

MIDWOOD — Hate crime investigators are looking for a pair of men who scrawled a series swastikas in fresh concrete before swiping a camera they found while drawing the symbols, police said.

One of the suspects was caught on surveillance footage drawing approximately 20 swastikas in the newly poured concrete outside a parking lot at 242 Newkirk Ave. just after midnight on Saturday, police said. The man also wrote “mobundles” in the sidewalk, the NYPD said.

A second man was seen taking a camera from outside the property, which is located on the edge of Midwood and Kensington.

The first suspect was seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, shorts and sneakers, police said. The second was seen wearing a short-sleeved shirt and dark pants.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is leading the investigation, police said.
