MANHATTAN — A person was seriously hurt when a car reportedly crashed into an Inwood building's roll-down gate, officials said.
The person, whose identity wasn't immediately released, was injured near Ninth Avenue and West 206th Street about 12:53 p.m., an FDNY spokeswoman said. It was not immediately clear whether the injured person was the driver of the vehicle or someone outside the vehicle.
The FDNY reported a car crashed into 3855 Ninth Ave., according to the Department of Buildings website.
The person was taken to Harlem Hospital where they were listed in serious condition, the spokeswoman said.
Buildings officials were on scene investigating, a spokesman said.
