Man Robs Upper West Side Bank of $2,400, Police Say

UPPER WEST SIDE — Police are looking for a man who robbed a Capital One bank of $2,400 Monday morning.

The man entered the bank at 2379 Broadway around 10:17 a.m. and approached a teller with a note demanding money, according to the NYPD. The bank employee handed over $2,400, police said.

He was captured in the security footage below.

The suspect fled the scene and disappeared into the 86th Street 1 train station, according to authorities. 

Police described the suspect as in his 40s, standing 5-foot-6 and last seen wearing sunglasses, a black hooded sweater, a black Chicago Bulls cap and dark-colored jeans.
