THE BRONX — A deliveryman was shoved up against an elevator wall and robbed at knifepoint by an ex-con and another man in Longwood, police said.

The deliveryman was taking food to 775 Fox St., near Longwood Avenue, about 9:05 p.m. on April 22 and was on the elevator and was attacked on the fifth floor as the doors opened, according to the NYPD.

Jaimeal Foggie, 53, who'd been arrested for petit larceny just five days prior, and another man barged in as the door opened and shoved the deliveryman up against a wall at knifepoint, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

One of them rummaged through the victim's pocket, stealing $80, before snatching the food and fleeing, police said.

Foggie, who's been arrested more than 20 times since the 1980s, was caught about 35 minutes later and charged with robbery and assault, police said. He was ordered held on $10,000 bond and is due back in court on May 17, records show.

Foggie's long criminal record includes a May 1983 robbery conviction, for which he spent two years behind bars, according to the state's Department of Correction.

He was convicted again in 1987 for grand larceny and released in 1989, records show.

The second suspect, who's about in his late 20s or early 30s, hadn't been arrested as of Monday morning, police said. That suspect is described as being about 5 feet 10 inches and 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a red, black and white hoodie with gray pants and gray sneakers, police said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
