BROOKLYN — A 53-year-old man may have been fatally thrown from a building in south Williamsburg, according to the NYPD and police sources.

Miguel Santiago was found with “severe body trauma” behind 60 Division Ave., near Wythe Avenue at about 2:35 a.m. Monday, police said.

Santiago's death was ruled a homicide by Wednesday morning, police said.

His injuries were consistent with falling from an elevated position, a source said, and investigators later determined he had been involved in a dispute and may have been pushed off the building.

It was not immediately clear what the argument was about.

Santiago, who lived on Fountain Avenue in East New York, was transported to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Residents said Santiago often stayed in the area and they did not know him to have any conflicts.

"He’d always hang out, go the park, watch basketball. He was a regular neighborhood face," said a 37-year-old man who just gave his initials, KD. "I’d see him around here catching the train, but I hadn’t seen him in a while. This is just crazy.”
