Person Fatally Struck by 6 Train at Brook Avenue Station, Officials Say

THE BRONX — A person was fatally struck by a train at the Brook Avenue 6 train station Tuesday evening, fire and MTA officials said.

The person was hit by a northbound train at about 5:33 p.m. and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the FDNY and MTA. 

There was no 6 train service in both directions between 125th Street and Hunts Point Avenue following the incident, according to the MTA.

Northbound trains were running on the 4 line from 125th to 149th Street-Grand Concourse, where they were terminating.

Southbound trains were terminating at Hunts Point.

Riders could expect delays on the 4, 5 and 6 lines.
