EAST WILLIAMSBURG — A crew of gun-toting robbers pushed their way into an apartment building and forced its maintenance staffers onto the ground, stealing $788 in cash and jewelry before fleeing, police said.
Two men pushed their way into a Borinquen Plaza apartment building at 124 Humboldt St. Sunday night at 10:45 p.m., went into its office where they threatened five workers with guns and told them to surrender their valuables, police said.
The employees obeyed and handed over $778 in cash and two chains, police said.
The two robbers — one of whom was wearing a grey hoodie while the other wore a dark hoodie and a varsity jacket — ran from the building soon after the 10:45 p.m. attack.
The men were captured by security cameras inside of the building.
