'Don't Disrespect My Girl,' Slasher Tells Victim Before Attack, Police Say

MANHATTAN — A slasher with a red leather jacket and gold teeth told a man "Don't disrespect my girl" before slicing the victim in the face in East Harlem Friday morning, NYPD officials said.

The suspect was arguing with the 48-year-old victim outside 357 E. 116th St., near First Avenue, about 12:50 a.m. when he attacked, police said.

"Don't disrespect my girl," the suspect said before giving him a 3-inch cut across his face, police said.

The victim was treated at Harlem Hospital, police said.

The suspect, who also had a teardrop tattoo, fled and wasn't immediately arrested, police said.
