CORONA — Police are searching for suspects who fired at an NYPD vehicle on Roosevelt Avenue with either a BB or pellet gun, shattering its passenger side front window while officers were inside.

The van, which police said was being used as a targeted-enforcement post in response to a spate of increased robberies in the area, was parked on the south side of 103rd Street and Roosevelt Avenue in Corona when it was shot at around 8:30 p.m. Monday, police said.

There were at least three police officers inside the vehicle when it was shot, but no one was injured, police said.

One of the van's windows were shattered during the shooting, police said. The van — with a broken window — was still at its post on Tuesday.

Anyone with information about this shooting should call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782)
