BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Five new buildings could rise along Madison Street, bringing 35 apartments to the area, according to plans filed with the city this month.

The residential developments located at 650-658 Madison St. near Stuyvesant Avenue would each house seven units, Department of Buildings records show.

Each building would rise four stories with roughly 5,000 square feet of space. News of the filings was first reported by The Real Deal.

The project would replace two, single-family homes located at 650 and 652 Madison St. that have already been demolished, along with adjacent lots.

Developer Boaz Gilad of Brookland Capital filed for permits under Elevations Holdings LLC, plans show.

In 2015, Gilad sought to build a five-story residential building with 38 apartments at the site, according to city records. The plans have since been withdrawn.

Gilad was not immediately available for comment.
