BRONX — Two brothers were killed in a car crash in Wakefield shortly after midnight Friday, police said.

Dayan Hunter, 47, was driving a 2009 Mercedes sedan northbound on the Bronx River Parkway near Exit 10 at 233rd Street with his brother, Dave Hunter, 44, when he hit the guardrail of the right lane, sending the car careening over it and into a tree, according to the NYPD.

Officers arrived at the wreckage around 12:20 a.m., and EMS workers pronounced the two brothers dead at the scene, police said.

Police were investigating whether speed was a factor in the crash.
