MANHATTAN — A woman died after falling from an escalator as she reached to catch her twin's hat in the World Trade Center's Oculus PATH station Saturday, officials said.
Jenny Santos, 29, who was with her twin, was reaching over the railing of the escalator when she tumbled to her death on the main concourse floor of the station about 5 a.m., sources said.
The New York Daily News said the hat had been falling off the escalator and Santos reached to grab it. The newspaper said she fell 40 feet.
