BROOKLYN — A man was shot dead and another wounded when a gunman opened fire on a Canarsie street Sunday afternoon, police said.
Darren Harrison, 22, was shot in the head on East 84th Street near Avenue J around 5:10 p.m., the NYPD said. He died at the scene,
A 19-year-old man was struck in the stomach by the gunfire and taken to Kings County Hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.
There were no immediate arrests, and the circumstances surrounding the incident weren't immediately clear.
