THE BRONX — Four attackers punched out a mailman in an attempted mugging in Williamsbridge, police said.

The postal worker was inside 814 Tilden St., near Mattie Harris Place, on Jan. 6 when the men came up to him and demanded money about 9 a.m., police said.

They then punched the 26-year-old mail carrier in the face and head, breaking his nose. He was treated at Jacobi Hospital, the NYPD said.

The suspects fled empty handed.

The attackers are believed to be in their late teens to early 20s.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
