THE BRONX — A 2-month-old girl died Monday morning, nearly a week after she was brought to the hospital with a fractured spine, retinal damage and other severe injuries, NYPD officials said.

Sherlin Camacho was struggling to breathe inside her family's Honeywell Avenue home, near East 181st Street, about 10 a.m. Jan. 10 when emergency responders arrived, officials said.

They took her to Montefiore Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition until Monday morning, an NYPD spokesman said.

She'd suffered a spinal fracture, a broken tibia, bruised femur, broken rib and retinal damage, police said.

Investigators are still looking into Sherlin's death to determine if any criminality was involved, an NYPD spokesman said.

Officials with the Administration for Children's Services is investigating the girl's death as well.
