EAST HARLEM — A thief asking random strangers on the street for the time swiped an iPhone from an unsuspecting woman as she tried to tell him, the NYPD said.
The 34-year-old victim was walking down Madison Avenue near East 121st Street around 4:45 p.m. on Dec. 28 when the man approached her, she told police.
She pulled her phone out of her coat and he grabbed it and ran, police said.
The suspect is described as male who is around 5-foot-4.
