Armed Men Break Into Home and Attack People Inside, NYPD Says

By Aidan Gardiner | January 5, 2017 9:20am

STATEN ISLAND — Three gun-toting men broke into a Clifton home, attacked two people inside before fleeing empty-handed Thursday morning, NYPD officials said.

The trio burst into the Prince Street home, near Vanderbilt Avenue, about 2:25 a.m. and pistol-whipped one person before slashing another's face, according to authorities.

It wasn't immediately clear how seriously the two victims were injured or if they needed to go to the hospital, officials said.

They then rummaged through the home, but left empty-handed, police said.

They hopped into a black Ford carrying about two other men and fled, police said. They weren't immediately arrested, police said.
