NEW YORK CITY — Three men were killed in separate car crashes across the city on New Year's Day just days after a woman was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in Brooklyn, police said.

In two of the four deadly incidents, the drivers fled the scene and have yet to be arrested, the NYPD said.

Police released photos Monday of a dark green SUV that slammed into Evedette Sanchez, 39, of Ocean Hill, as she crossed Louisiana Avenue near Flatlands Avenue in East New York on Dec. 28 at about 7:14 p.m., the NYPD said.

Sanchez was the mother of three children whose husband survived being hit by a car just eight months ago, the Daily News reported.

The SUV driver was headed west on Flatlands Avenue and making a right turn onto Louisiana when the person hit Sanchez, police said. The driver then fled north on Louisiana Avenue, police added.

The NYPD has made one arrest in the other fatal crashes on New Year's Day.

Police arrested 24-year-old Peter Michael of Marine Park in connection with a 3:17 a.m. crash that killed a 56-year-old man who was riding in a livery cab, the NYPD said.

The victim, Abraham Shmailov of Sheepshead Bay, was riding in the back of a 2008 Toyota Camry when Michael, who was driving a 2015 Infiniti, struck the cab at Avenue P and Second Street in Gravesend, police said.

Michael was charged with vehicular manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and driving while intoxicated, police said.

Police are still investigating the other two fatal crashes that happened on New Year's Day.

At 5:36 p.m. Sunday, 73-year-old Darton Besler of Allerton in The Bronx was killed after he being struck by the driver of a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country minivan at Boston Post Road and Bronxwood Avenue, police said. Police identified the driver as a 29-year-old man who stayed on the scene after the crash, but no arrests had been made as of Monday morning.

And at 2:34 a.m. Sunday, a hit-and-run driver killed 52-year-old Thomas Bradley, Jr. of St. Alban's in Queens as he was crossing South Conduit Avenue near Rockaway Boulevard in Springfield Gardens, the NYPD said. Police have not released a description of the vehicle.
