MANHATTAN — A person was seriously injured when a 1 train hit them in the 96th Street station Wednesday morning, an FDNY spokesman said.
The person, whose identity wasn't immediately released, was hit about 8 a.m. in the station at Broadway, officials said.
Officials could not immediately provide any further details about the incident.
MTA officials didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
Trains along the 1 line were briefly suspended, but resumed by 8:33 a.m., according to the MTA's website.
