JACKSON HEIGHTS — An Old Navy is set to open in a historic building on 82nd Street, documents show.

The store will replace a former clothing shop and jewelry store at 37-46 and 37-50 82nd St., which was built in the 1920s as a Clark's department store.

The architects, GreenbergFarrow, requested approval from the Landmarks Preservation Commission to combine the two storefronts and repair the historical facade, which was approved at an Oct. 25, 2016, hearing.

Workers will have to add stone or terra cotta to the base of the building, and the second floor windows will have to be "modified to be symmetrical," documents show.

The Old Navy store joins a slew of other chains, including a Gap outlet, a Banana Republic outlet and multiple cellphone shops on 82nd Street.

It's not clear when the store is expected to open. A spokeswoman for Gap Inc. did not return an email requesting comment. The architects also could not be reached for comment.
