TIMES SQUARE — Wishes from around the globe will rain down on the Crossroads of the World this New Year's.

From now until Dec. 29, visitors to Times Square can write their wishes for the new year on one of the pieces of confetti that will be released there at midnight on New Year’s Eve.

The Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment are posting the confetti wishes on a “Wishing Wall” located in one of Times Square’s pedestrian plazas, between West 46th and 47th streets, each day between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m., excluding Christmas Day.

Three-thousand pounds of confetti — including the confetti wishes — will be released over Times Square on New Year’s Eve, the groups said in a release.

“The Wishing Wall is a great opportunity to participate in this time-honored tradition as part of Times Square’s global celebration,” Times Square Alliance president Tim Tompkins said in a statement.

If you can’t make it to the Wishing Wall, you can submit your wish online.
