HELL'S KITCHEN — A man was fatally hit by a southbound E train in the Port Authority station Monday morning, officials said.
The man, whose name and age were not immediately released, leaped in front of the train at Eighth Avenue about 8:45 a.m., FDNY and NYPD officials said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Service on the A, C and E lines was disrupted after the incident, but resumed regular service about 10 a.m., the MTA said.
