Anti-Gay Attackers Who Broke Man's Wrist Caught on Video, Police Say

By Maya Rajamani | November 11, 2016 10:53am

HELL’S KITCHEN — Police released surveillance footage of two of the three men accused of shouting anti-gay slurs at a man before throwing him to the ground and breaking his wrist.

The trio attacked the 21-year-old after he walked past them on West 49th Street between Ninth and 10th avenues around 1:40 a.m. on Nov. 5, the NYPD said.

The three men had been arguing with each other before the attack, police said.

“What are you looking at, f----t?” the men said, according to police. “Is there a problem, f----t?”

After screaming at him, the men threw the 21-year-old to the ground — breaking his wrist — and started kicking him before fleeing west on West 49th Street toward 10th Avenue, the NYPD said.

Emergency responders treated the victim at the scene, police said.

Police are now searching for three men described as approximately 20 years old in connection with the attack.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
