WOODSIDE — Police are searching for a man who stabbed and threw a bottle at a fellow straphanger during a fight at a Queens subway station last month, according to the NYPD.

Police could not say why they were alerting the public now, more than two weeks after the crime.

The assailant got into an argument with a 20-year-old man on the platform of the 7 train station at 61st Street in Woodside around 10 p.m. on Oct. 23, when the dispute escalated, police said.

He hurled a bottle at the victim as he walked away, striking him in the back, according to authorities.

As the two men continued to argue, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the man in his abdomen, police said.

The victim suffered a small puncture wound but was not hospitalized, police said.

The suspect is described as being between 17 and 19 years old, standing roughly 5-foot-10 and weighing 155 pounds, according to the NYPD. He was seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a backpack and dark jeans, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
