UPPER EAST SIDE — A security officer at the Russian consulate was found dead Tuesday morning with head trauma, NYPD officials said.

The 63-year-old officer, whose name wasn't immediately released, was found by another guard minutes before 7 a.m. inside the consulate at 9 E. 91st St., near Fifth Avenue, police said.

He suffered severe head wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Medical Examiner will determine his cause of death, police said. Investigators believe a medical condition may have contributed to his death, police said.

Investigators don't suspect any criminality was involved, police said.

An official of the Russian consulate could not immediately be reached for comment.
