HELL’S KITCHEN — A trio of attackers hurled anti-gay slurs at a man before knocking him to the ground, kicking him and breaking his wrist, the NYPD said.

The 21-year-old victim, from Manhattan, was walking east on West 49th Street between Ninth and 10th avenues around 1:08 a.m. on Nov. 5 when he saw a group of three men arguing with each other, police said.

As the victim and another man passed the trio, the suspects started screaming at the 21-year-old, the NYPD said.

“What are you looking at, f----t?” the men said, according to police. “Is there a problem, f----t?”

The victim and the other man kept walking, at which point the three suspects approached them and threw the 21-year-old to the ground, breaking his wrist, the NYPD said.

The suspects then started started kicking him while he was on the ground, police said.

The three attackers fled west on West 49th Street toward 10th Avenue, and the victim was treated for his injury at the scene, the NYPD said.

Police searched the area for the suspects but didn’t find them.

An NYPD spokesman could not say whether the incident is being investigated as a hate crime.
