MIDTOWN — A man called the Waldorf Astoria claiming he was inside the hotel with a bomb strapped to his neck, the NYPD said.

The anonymous male caller dialed the iconic 301 Park Ave. hotel around 3:35 a.m. on Oct. 26 and said he was inside the building with the bomb, police said.

Police and hotel security searched the building but didn’t find anything suspicious, the NYPD said.

Less than two months ago, a person with an Arizona phone number called the hotel and warned that a bomb would go off, police said. That call also proved to be a false threat.

The Waldorf Astoria did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday.
