'I'm on PCP, Fight Me,' Yells Man Trying to Head-Butt Police, DA Says

TOMPKINSVILLE — A man yelling "I'm on PCP ... fight me" spat on NYPD officers and tried to head-butt them before being arrested in Staten Island, prosecutors said.

Anthony Maniscalco, 33, walked up to an unmarked police car parked in front of 67 Brook St., causing traffic to swerve around him as he marched across a street at 9:38 p.m. on Oct. 11, according to court papers.

"I'm on PCP. I smoked it all. Fight me, I have guns," Mansicalco yelled at the officers as he stood in the middle of the street, according to his criminal complaint.

When officers tried to arrest Maniscalco, he flailed his arms, spat at them and tried to head-butt them, hurting two fingers of one officer, prosecutors said.

He was eventually handcuffed and taken to Richmond University Medical Center. On the way into the hospital, Maniscalco kicked one of the officers in the chest, according to the criminal complaint.

Maniscalco was charged with assault, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, criminal nuisance, criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and appearance in public under the influence of narcotics or a drug, the Staten Island District Attorney's office said.

His bail was set at $10,000 and he's due back in court Monday, according to online court records.

Maniscalco's lawyer could not be reached for comment.
