MIDTOWN — Two guests of the Algonquin were robbed of their wallets in August by three women they had left alone in their hotel room, police said Friday.

The two 23-year-old men left their three guests in the hotel room on West 44th Street near Sixth Avenue around 4 a.m. on Aug. 6, police said. The men met the women for the first time earlier that evening.

When the men returned, the women quickly excused themselves and promised to come back, police said. It wasn’t until after the women had gone the men realized their wallets were missing, according to police.

Surveillance footage at the hotel captured pictures of the three women, whom police describe as being in their 20s.

One woman wore a red dress and black head wrap, the second wore a black and white shirt with black pants, the third wore a black and white striped dress.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
