MANHATTAN — A Bronx man suspected of groping twin sisters five years apart in a string of similar 1 train incidents was arrested Monday in Midtown after someone recognized him and notified police, officials said.

Between 2011 and Sept. 21 of this year, Kenneth Jacobson, 44, on different occasions sat next to five women, one of whom was as young as 13, and rubbed their thighs, an NYPD spokesman said Tuesday.

On Friday, police were investigating a Sept. 9 instance in which a man had rubbed an 18-year-old's thigh when the victim's sister recognized a picture of the suspect and said he'd done the same thing to her in either 2011 or 2012 when she was just 13, police said.

Jacobson continued this pattern, groping five women, most recently about 6:45 p.m. on Sept. 21 when he sat next to an 18-year-old as their train approached Times Square and touched her, police said.

Jacobson, of Fieldston, was arrested near Broadway and West 50th Street about 5:45 p.m. Monday when someone recognized him from published photos and notified police, officials said.

He faces charges of forcible touching, harassment, sexual abuse, attempted forcible touching and attempted harassment, police said.

Jacobson hadn't been arraigned as of Tuesday morning, court records show.
