Man Critically Injured in Brooklyn Hit-and-Run, Police Say

BROOKLYN — A man was critically injured in Brooklyn early Saturday after being struck by a driver who then fled the scene, police said.

The unidentified man was inside the crosswalk at Atlantic and Fourth avenues around 3:15 a.m. Saturday when he was struck by a black four-door sedan heading east, according to police.

After hitting the man, the driver sped away from the scene, police said.

The victim was rushed to New York Methodist Hospital with head trauma, and is in critical condition, according to the NYPD.

There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
