MIDTOWN — Finally, a sports bar for men.

A sports bar and topless lounge promising to be the “sexiest sports bar ever” is set to open this week a block below Herald Square, featuring plenty of big-screen televisions and a stage designed to look like a basketball net for pole dancing.

Hoops Cabaret, located at 48 W. 33rd St. between Fifth Avenue and Broadway, will celebrate a soft-open for friends and family on Thursday and an official opening on Friday, according to manager Rick DeAngelo.

The lounge is decorated to look like a basketball court, with televisions pointed to the center stage. Visitors can also pay a premium to hang out in private booths or in the bar's upstairs "man cave," which is painted a vibrant Bud Light blue, emblazoned with the brand's logo.

The bar will show every football game throughout the season and any other game they can get their hands on, DeAngelo said. For entertainment off the screen, the bar will be flooded each night with dozens of hired girls clad in skimpy versions of New York sports uniforms.

Hoops is located next to Rick’s Cabaret, which is owned by the same parent company. The two offer a different enough appeal that the proximity won’t cut into business, DeAngleo said.

“Rick’s is more of a classic gentleman’s club while Hoops is a high-end sports bar with topless girls,” he said.

Hoops will be the third racy business on the block, joining Rick's Cabaret and Empire Exotics, a lingerie boutique across the street.
