THE BRONX — Police are investigating another two thefts in a recent spate of attacks targeting elderly women.

The first happened on Sept. 3 around 10:30 a.m. at Courtlandt Avenue and 154th Street. Two men came up to a 72-year-old woman from behind, hit her in the face and stole her bag, police said.

The suspects then fled east down 154th Street. The victim refused medical attention, according to the NYPD.

Officers described one suspect as a man between 35 and 40 years old who is 5-foot-5 and was last seen wearing a gray New York baseball hat and plaid shirt. They described the second suspect as a man between 35 and 40 years old who is 5-foot-10 and was last seen with a bookbag and wearing a black hat.

Another attack happened on Wednesday around 5:45 a.m. at 1635 E. 174th St., when a man grabbed a purse from an 84-year-old woman's shoulder while she was sitting on a bench at a bus stop, police said.

He ran into 1630 E. 174th St., where another suspect held the door open for him and they both went inside an elevator, according to the NYPD.

Video shows the suspected thieves running into the elevator and rifling through a bag.

The first suspect was last seen wearing dark pants and a red hooded sweater while the second was last seen wearing dark pants and a gray hooded sweater, police said.

These are the latest in a string of at least four recent attacks against elderly women in New York City.

Adrianne Terry, 37, was arrested for allegedly stealing a purse from 86-year-old Bernice Starnes on Sunday at Marmion Avenue and E. 179th Street in The Bronx, and Broyoan Lopez was arrested and accused of stealing $600 in rent money from 93-year-old Maria Vasquez on Sept. 7 at 176 E. 116th St. in Harlem.
