THE BRONX — The woman accused of stealing more than $100 from an 86-year-old woman in a wheelchair was arraigned in criminal court on Wednesday, where she was hit with grand larceny charges and had bail set at $10,000 cash, according to the Bronx District Attorney's Office.

Adrianne Terry, 37, was arrested for stealing 86-year-old Bernice Starnes' purse, which contained $110 and a MasterCard, according to court documents.

She is accused of snatching the purse on Sunday around 2:15 p.m. while Starnes was sitting in a wheelchair outside of her apartment by Marmion Avenue and E. 179th Street, police said.

Starnes previously said she would have caught the thief if she hadn't been in a wheelchair and that she wanted to get a gun and "shoot her damn brains out" after the robbery.

Terry is due back in court on Sept. 19 and has been arrested about a dozen times before, law enforcement officials said.
